JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. -- Madigan Army Medical Center held a graduation ceremony on June 12 for its 2026 Graduate Medical Education class, honoring physicians and health professionals who completed intensive military medical training. The event recognized residents and fellows from various specialties who are now ready to serve across the Military Health System, delivering care to service members, families, and beneficiaries around the world.
These training programs are essential for building clinically skilled military healthcare providers who can work in both hospital settings and field environments. The graduates represent the next wave of military medical leaders, poised to strengthen force readiness and improve medical support for deployed and home-station units.
Madigan runs one of the largest Graduate Medical Education programs in the Department of Defense, training doctors and healthcare professionals across many specialties while also supporting operational medicine, research, and patient care. As the graduates move on to their next posts, they take with them the skills, professionalism, and values they developed at Madigan. Their work will help maintain a medically ready force and a ready medical force.
Madigan Army Medical Center congratulates its 2026 graduates and thanks them for their dedication, compassion, and service to the country.
