KINGSPORT, Tenn. - A coalition of local businesses and rotary clubs announced Tuesday a partnership to host a summit focused on human trafficking awareness, education, and prevention. The event will feature former NFL quarterback and humanitarian Tim Tebow as a keynote speaker.
Organizers say the summit aims to equip the community with the tools to recognize signs of trafficking and understand how to intervene. The announcement comes amid growing national attention on the issue, with local leaders emphasizing the need for proactive measures.
The summit will include panel discussions, survivor testimonies, and training sessions for law enforcement, educators, and healthcare workers. Tebow, who has long advocated for anti-trafficking efforts through his foundation, is expected to share insights from his work with survivors.
Details on the date and venue are still being finalized, but organizers say the event will take place later this year. They hope to draw attendees from across the region to build a coordinated response to what they describe as a hidden crisis affecting vulnerable populations.
