Free lunches to be offered at two Big Picture Education Academy campuses

The Big Picture Education Academy has confirmed that students at two of its campuses will now receive free lunches, a change driven by a recent update to the school's meal policy. The decision, announced this week, aims to remove a barrier that has kept some students from eating during the school day.

Previously, the academy only offered subsidized meals under federal guidelines, which required families to apply and prove income eligibility. That process left gaps, especially for students whose families earned just above the cutoff but still struggled to afford daily lunches. The new approach eliminates those applications at the two selected sites, making meals available to every enrolled student without paperwork or cost.
