The Columbus Crew has officially launched its Soccer in Schools Program, aimed at promoting physical education among students. This initiative was first introduced during the MLS All-Star Community Day at Northgate Intermediate School, which took place last year as part of MLS All-Star Week.
The program is designed to engage students in physical activity through soccer, providing them with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sport while also fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. By integrating soccer into the school curriculum, the Crew hopes to inspire a love for physical fitness and encourage a healthy lifestyle among young learners.
In addition to teaching soccer skills, the program emphasizes the importance of physical education in overall development. It aims to create a positive impact on students' physical and mental well-being, making sports a vital part of their daily lives. This initiative reflects the Crew's commitment to community engagement and the promotion of youth sports.
